Beginner recipes - table setting with plated pasta and red wine

Cooking has become one of my favorite hobbies and I truly did not expect it. I love any hobby that involves my hands because it forces me off technology. I love my time in the kitchen without technology so much, that I even created the perfect recipe journal that you can pass down for generations to come. I also have the *perfect* cooking playlist, linked here, that will make you feel like you just stepped into a Nancy Meyers movie. On to the beginner-friendly recipes!

If you’re wanting to get into cooking, the best place to start is soup. This is my favorite soup recipe because it feels more like a pasta and is *so* good, everyone will be wanting more. It’s The Modern Proper Tortellini Soup with Italian Sausage and Kale. This is probably my most requested meal to make and it’s truly fool proof. It’s perfect, cozy and also only takes 30 minutes!!

When I lived in LA, my go-to comfort meal was vodka pasta from Jon & Vinnys. So, when I moved back to TX, I knew I needed to perfect the recipe on my own. I truly believe everyone needs to nail down a good vodka pasta, there’s nothing like it. This is the recipe I follow. Super simple & easy to make!

This easy bolognese recipe is a very close second to the italian kale tortellini soup as my most requested meal to make. And again, it is SO easy. An easy bolognese recipe is fool proof for dinner and makes you look like you’re much more skilled in the kitchen than we probably are.

If you cook any of these, make sure to tag me on IG! I’ll be back soon sharing my favorite go to cookbooks.
